Regarding <strong>cars<\/strong>, the average age is <strong>11.8 years<\/strong>, similar to the Slovenian figure (12), better than Spain (13.1), Portugal (13.2), Finland (12.5), but not as good as France (10.3) and Germany (9.8). For <strong>light commercial vehicles,<\/strong> Italy reaches <strong>13.8 years,<\/strong> worse than Spain (13.3), Poland (13.6), Hungary (12.5), Croatia (12.2), and the Czech Republic (13.4).<\/p><p>The situation worsens with increasing weight. For trucks, Italy is among the oldest nations, with an average age of 18.5 years. Only Greece fares worse (21.4). The Czech Republic and Estonia come close (17.6), followed by Romania (16.8), and strangely, Belgium (16). For comparison, France has a figure of 9 years, and Germany has 9.6 years.<\/p><p>Certainly, in addition to the age of the vehicle fleet, <strong>the number of vehicles per inhabitant<\/strong> must be considered.
